New Camera Installation!

We have put a new camera online that offers a very closeup view of the lift bridge. The new camera is live streaming and is the 4th thumbnail down on the right hand column of this page.
As usual, I expect some glitches while I am finalizing setup, but, I do hope you enjoy the view. The boats will be back soon.

The wraps are off the New Republic

Sporting a new paint job, the New Republic, parked here at Fraser Shipyard in Superior, looks like new as final preparations are made for a return to work soon.

Convoy sails past ice shelf

The Cutter Mackinaw left Tuesday with six Lakers that need help getting through the ice pack on the eastern end of Lake Superior.
Here you can see the armada as it skirts the ice shelf near Silver Bay.
