New Camera Installation!

We have put a new camera online that offers a very closeup view of the lift bridge. The new camera is live streaming and is the 4th thumbnail down on the right hand column of this page.
As usual, I expect some glitches while I am finalizing setup, but, I do hope you enjoy the view. The boats will be back soon.

  9. Great job enjoy it all year the ice caves were spectacular and the other winter scenes also. For those of us that cant live in Duluth this is the next best thing between visits, maybe now I can see my brother and his family with their big boat go threw the lift bridge. Thank you.

  10. AWESOME!!! Dennis, if you are responsible for this, YOU ARE THE MAN! Should be able to see the boats coming all the way from port terminal and even beyond that. This is a great view, sound and all! Thank you!

  11. To complete the view, is there any way to get a couple of cameras at the Superior entry?

  17. Dennis: As I posted early, this is GREAT. But I was slow in learning we will have real time SOUND. Incredible!! Since we only get to Duluth once a year, sometimes twice, being able to hear the cars going over the bridge, in my videos, is also a favorite, now I can hear that too, plugged into my stereo! But of course the highlight will be to hear all the salutes now. Absolutely Incredible!! Thank you a million times over!!!

  18. Will also return a camera to look up the channel, as you had before? This was a great way to see if I missed a boat at the Entry, and of course, the way to follow the boats to the Oil Dock, etc.

  19. Where did the AIS reports go?

  20. The camera looking up the harbor is still there. Since it is not a live streaming camera, it is listed under the snapshot cams/hillside.

  22. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can hardly leave my computer. My husband and I are from Duluth and now live in California. I feel so close to home with the new camera set-up. Maybe, someday, a camera down about Glensheen? Can watch the ships all the way in. Wish we were there.
