In case you don't get up the North Shore to look at the fall colors, here is a 6 min video that I took while driving down Heartbreak Hill Road, one of the inland trails near Tofte.
In order to get stable video, I took the props of Skeeter (one of the drones) and held him up through the cars sunroof while we drove down the road.
Enjoy the colors and turn up your volume: music is by Mary Beth Carlson - marybethcarlson.com

Loved the vicarious ride...made me think of some lyrics from a Jesse Winchester song:
ReplyDelete"And the magic of the light
Well, that's our way
We'll mourn the nights
We'll glorify the days
So thank you, glory to our day
Ummm, thank you, glory to the day."
Thank you Dennis for saving me a couple hundred dollars in gas to take in the beauty of the northwoods. (I would have driven Eagle Island Rd in Bayfield Co but the scenery is about the same). Hats off to Mary Beth Carlson, the music fits so well. Your efforts and talents are very much appreciated. OHH btw Happy Belated Birthday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I sat back and envisioned myself riding freely on a bicycle...young again, healthy, wind in my hair, free as a bird. Riding down the road looking up at the color in awe of God's hand...letting my troubles float away like leaves in the wind. Gracious music flowing through my mind like a river of peace...thank you for sharing the beauty and letting us live it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denny, My wife and I have driven that road many times in the last 20 years but have seen peak colors like that only a few times.
ReplyDeleteAwesome....thank you.
ReplyDeleteDear Lord, thank you for Dennis and Mary Beth.
