Coptercam - Early Morning Arrival

The 1000ft Paul R Tregurtha slips into the Duluth Shipping Canal on an early June morning.
The Coptercam captured the scene this morning as the always impressive Tregurtha made it's entry.

  3. Are there regulations - Homeland Security? - on maintaining a minimum distance from the vessels with your 'copter? Not that you would buzz the wheelhouse.

  4. As far as flying the copter. The FAA is working on the rules. For now, there are recommendations and common sense. Of course there are privacy laws also.
There will be licensing requirements for commercial operations coming down the road and already are many local and National Park restrictions.
Basically, common courtesy and common sense will go a long way, along with knowing the aircraft capabilities and your own.

  5. Have you ever flown under the bridge???

  6. Carolyn, No, the metal on the bridge may interfere with the on-board compass. Probably never will, unless it is for a bridge inspection or something.
