Indiana Harbor - Ice Capades

As the ice thickens, 1000ft boats like the Indiana Harbor find turning difficult and challenging. Today, the big boat almost got stuck on the curve near Bayfront Park. If it wasn't for the help of the little green tug, it might still be there.

  4. Geez, are you there ALL the time. I was watching the cameras and there you were making sure that we saw what was happening IN the port instead of just as the ship was leaving. You are greatly admired by we folk that live in the Midwest, West Coast and Lord knows points unknown. Love reading the comments from what turns out are people just like me that can't be in Duluth when we want to be. Thanks Penny again

  5. I was watching this ship yesterday and wondered why the ship just seemed to stop. Then I saw the little tug going in circles around the ship and figured it was having ice issues. Thank you for moving the cameras around as it was interesting to watch!
