Iceout - Canal Park Duluth - 03/11/2020
With the ice cover in the Duluth Harbor breaking up rapidly, the canal is a great place to watch Spring arrive. You will also see an example of the Lake Superior Seiche as the ice flow reverses and than resumes it's flow.
You can read more about the seiche here: http://www.seagrant.umn.edu/newsletter/2008/12/readers_want_to_know.html

Jeffery and Amelia are back in town
Hi folks, Amelia and myself are back from down south and we are waiting for the snow cover to melt on our favorite nesting island.
How do I look -- I think I am better looking than ever and Amelia is still so beautiful. Those Cajun fries do wonders for you waistline.
I guess the Cutter will be out tomorrow stirring up some bottom fish for us early arrivals -- See you around the harbor. -- Jeffery

Boat Cards available!
Last year I put together some Boat Trading Cards as boats came and went through the harbor.
If you would like to collect these, I have uploaded them to a gallery on my photography website for you to freely download if you like.
I will continue to make these up as time permits in 2020.
Visit the BOAT CARD GALLERY HERE!
There is also a link to the Boat Cards on the Right Menu. Once in the gallery, just "Right Click" and "Save As" for each card. There is also a download button to download the entire gallery in a zip file.
Enjoy,
Den
