The sunrise was particularly beautiful this morning. Jeffery was enjoying it from the Great Lakes Aquarium rooftop.

Jeffery's opinion of medical masks!

Hi Folks, Jeffery the gull here,

So, I see some humans around the area wearing these cool looking masks and overheard one of them saying that these masks are for the birds. So I found one in a trash can and tried it on.  To tell you the truth, it doesn't fit well when you have no ears to hang it on and it slips down when flying. It also makes it hard to eat popcorn, so, forget it.
And where are all the tourists by they way, I am getting tired of seafood.

Jeffery the Gull - 060919

There goes the fishing fleet for the 06 lift.  With any luck, they will be back with lunch by noon.  I appreciate the brave fishermen that get up so early just to catch me some lake trout.  After all, a gull can only eat junk food so long.

Jeffery the Gull - Grounded due to Fog 06/05/19

Jeffery here. I stopped by to say hi. Flying in this fog is scary, I almost ran into the Lift Bridge and then one of my cousins.

While you're waiting for the next boat, I thought you might enjoy viewing my beautiful plumage and great physique.  I happen to be very modest, but, I am one of the most beautiful birds around.  Hope you have a great day and enjoy the fog while it lasts, the sun and warmth will be back tomorrow.

Have a great day and keep your feathers dry!

I stopped by today to say hi and that I miss you guys.  Now that the tourist are back in town, I can smell the dumpsters already and look forward to the french fries and popcorn. Umm!

Here are a couple snapshots of my beautiful feathers and nifty landing characteristics and flight skills.

I will be back when I find some more sunglasses for the summer.  See ya soon!

The world according to Jeffery the Gull!

There goes the American Century, a fine old boat. It's massive propellers churn up fish to the surface where I can get at them easier.

The charter fishing boats are also going back out this morning if the Century breaks a path for them.  With any luck, they should be back by noon with enough fish for all us, especially if I sit on the dock and fake an injury - works every time.

Life is good, Springtime has returned!  Keep your feathers preened!

Jeffery The Gull Back -04/03/19

Hi fans, for those who don't know me, I'm Jeffery the Gull and I hang out here on the Great Lakes Aquarium roof where harborcam visitors can view my beautiful plumage.  Amelia and I just got back into town and have been feasting on some wonderful dead fish left over from the ice fishermen.

Amelia is over checking out a nesting area and I just stopped by to say hi.   Well, we'll be seeing you around town!

Sunda arrived Duluth 08/20/2018

Hi Guys, Jeffery Here!
That's the Sunda coming in. Last time she was here was May. Kicked up some nice minnows with those deep props.

Love watching these salties and the little red tugs.  Wish you were here.

Jeffery the Gull!

Hay!  Bayfront Blues is going on at Bayfront Park.  It's a great time.  I can swoop down from my perch and grab a snack anytime.  I prefer county western music, but, these folks look like they are having a great time.
Amelia and I just float on the bay and enjoy the scenes.

Jeffery the Gull

Sorry fans, I have been preoccupied with my new girlfriend.  I think it was the sunglasses and gold necklace that attracted her.

Isn't she beautiful? We met at the large dumpster at Canal Park and have been off visiting various restaurants and landfills for the past week.  What a great time.

Since gulls mate for life, I wanted to make sure she was the right one for me.  I gotta say, She's the one. From her webbed feet to that fish smacking beak -- I'm hooked.

In the coming years, we will have many chicks and will welcome many tourists to Duluth.

Well,  off to the next festival -- life is good!

I'm getting more of these signs printed up so folks don't feed the pigeons! Messy little birds!

The adventures of Jeffery the Gull

So, what do you think? I spotted this shiny medallion with my new set of binoculars.
There was this muscle guy over on the Park Point beach wearing it.  I knew it would be hard to get it off his neck, so, I waited until he and his girlfriend laid down on their beach towels. It was hot so he took it off and put it in one of his sandals.  I very slowly snuck up behind them.  I don't think he recognized me with my sunglasses on.

At the right moment, a kicked over his drink and in the disturbance, I was able to grab this really cool shiny thing. It was so neat. As I flew a 360 circle around the couple, he threw a sandal at me -- so much fun, I love shiny things and life in Duluth.

Have a great day! - Jeffery the Gull
