Duluth Canal and Lift Bridge History

I took some time during the past few weeks to put together this video on the history of the Lift Bridge and Canal.  We have such a rich nautical history around the "Head of the Lakes" that I thought a video would be worthwhile.  Sorry that it so long (53 minutes), but, there is a lot to tell.

  1. Very nice history of the bridge Dennis! We've been up there many times and stay in the South Pier Inn...about as close as you can get to the beautiful, amazing structure. It was interesting watching the work on the scaffolding on that side a while back. One note though, during the movie at the 45:20 mark you begin describing pictures however it stays as the lighthouse image until 49:02. I have acquired a very nice collection of Post Cards showing the ferry car so this is nice to see your presentation. Thanks!!

  2. Ron,
It would be great if I could include some of your postcard images in the presentation. I just didn't have enough to fill in the time void.
