With the arrival this summer of a flotilla of Tall Ships in July, the Duluth Harbor will be a mariners dream and a photographers paradise.
I will be publishing a photo book in June that covers the various Tall Ship Festivals in Duluth, including a preview of the 2013 event. While the book will not be available for a few weeks, I thought you might enjoy paging through an e-book version.
The limited edition book will be selling for about $15. Please email me if you want me to save you a copy when they come in. In the mean time, enjoy the online version.

Although the landscape around the Northland still may look like winter, the rising water in the Gooseberry Rive is an indication that we are actually in springtime. Gooseberry Falls is 20 miles northeast of Two Harbors on Lake Superior and a wonderful and enchanted place to visit.
Yesterday, after the heavy snow, Gooseberry looked like a winter wonderland and walking through the fresh snow seemed to put things into perspective. It really was a blessing to get the snow, at least for an old photographer that is drawn ever closer to God by His Creation that surrounds us every day.
With nearly two feet of freshly fallen snow on the north shore of Lake Superior, the invitation to take a ride up the shore was something I couldn't pass up. While the storm had passed, the waves were still kicking up a bit and the snow covered hillsides were particularly beautiful even though it is late April.
