Did anybody else happen to be watching the bridge cam last night when the Saginaw arrived? Just before the bridge raised pretty sure saw a meteor. It was falling right thru the bridge, from east to west. Might have been either right before you hear the helicopter or just after, or right before Saginaw's 4 mile call to the bridge, but wasn't too long before the bridge raised up.
I wasn't watching, David, but the Quadrantid meteor shower over the northern hemisphere was supposed to peak overnite January 3-4, so I hope that's what you saw. NASA info I read states that this shower only peaks for a few hours (not a couple days like most), and is known for bright fireball meteors whose light and colors persist longer than average. Starting to have ship withdrawal. I will miss them during the winter break. Dennis thanks for keeping me entertained during these last several months. I am looking forward to see what is going on in the harbor this winter.

ReplyDeleteI would have liked to see that. Maybe somebody will have the footage just before the Saginaw arrived.
