Gale Warning Posted!

A Gale Warning remains in effect from 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening to 1 AM EDT /midnight CDT/ Thursday.
* WIND AND WAVES DURING THE GALE WARNING...
Expect sustained   winds of up to 35 knots
 from the northeast, with gusts up to  46 knots. 
The largest expected significant waves will be 17  
 feet with a maximum wave height of up to 25 feet possible.

* TIMING...The maximum winds are expected around 8 AM EDT   
Wednesday with the largest waves expected around 1 PM EDT  Wednesday.

  4. Do the waves ever get high enough to break on the bridge? Have they ever closed the bridge during a bad eastern storm?

  12. Watching the Canal Cam during the supper hour and the waves are incredible. Amazing. The guys on the CSL Assiniboine, parked outside the harbor, must be getting a wild ride today.
