"Welcome Back" Michipicoten arrived in Duluth 06/20/2024

After a near disaster when the Michipicoten hit an unknown submerged object near Isle Royale, the freighter made it way back to Duluth under its own power after spending two weeks in Thunder Bay. The Michipicoten was escorted to the U.S. border by a Canadian tug and the rest of the way to Duluth by the Helen H. The Michipicoten will undergo further evaluation and inspection at the Fraser Shipyard in Superior.
