The Silver Bay Marina on the North Shore of Lake Superior is a tranquil marina - "most of the time" and fantastic place to watch storms the rest of the time.

A sailboat riding the leading edge of a Lake Superior storm makes safe harbor through the Superior Entry. Winds in excess of 50 MPH and heavy rain soon followed.

The Gale Warning is now in effect 
from 10 AM EDT /9 AM CDT/ to
10 PM EDT /9 PM CDT/ Monday.

* WIND AND WAVES DURING THE GALE WARNING...
Expect sustained  winds of up to 34 knots 
from the east, with gusts up to 43  knots. 
The largest expected significant waves 
will be 15 feet with a maximum wave height 
of up to 22 feet possible.

* TIMING...The maximum winds are expected around 4 PM EDT Monday
  with the largest waves expected around 9 PM EDT Monday.

The Depot cam is in a very inaccessible location and access not available at this time.
