CSL Assiniboine aborts entry into Duluth
The 740ft Canadian Lake CSL Assiniboine had to abort entry into the Duluth Shipping Canal this morning as it experiences unknown navigational problems. It entered port an hour later.
This is a rare occurrence, but it does show the diligence needed even on calm summer mornings.

Greek Freighter Apollon arrived Duluth 5/23/2014
Apollon arrived in Duluth at 21:15 after waiting in the Lake Superior floating ice pack for several days.

Camera Upadate
The GLA cam has been replaced and is back up. The new camera is fixed in place and can be moved manually only. However, the camera has better resolution , clarity, color, and sound.
I will be moving it closer to the edge of the GLA building next week to get better sound and to move it away from a noisy ventilation vent. The new location should also have a bit better look at the inner harbor.
It should be a great camera for the sailboat races!
