Grandma's Marathon 50th Anniversary Drone Show

 

 Last night's drone show over Bayfront Park provided a spectacular finale to the 50th anniversary celebration of Grandma's Marathon weekend. Hundreds of illuminated drones filled the Duluth sky, creating synchronized images that celebrated both the marathon's rich history and the spirit of the Northland. Set against the backdrop of Lake Superior and the Aerial Lift Bridge, the show brought together runners, volunteers, residents, and visitors in a shared moment of wonder. The brilliant aerial display was a fitting tribute to five decades of Grandma's Marathon, reminding everyone that the event is more than a race—it is a cherished community tradition that continues to inspire and unite generations.
