The 210-passenger cruise ship Pearl Mist departed Duluth this afternoon. Operated by Pearl Seas Cruises, the elegant small ship brings visitors from around the world to experience the beauty, history, and maritime heritage of the Great Lakes.
For the ship watchers: Pearl Mist measures 335 feet in length with a beam of 56 feet and carries up to 210 passengers attended by a crew of approximately 70. At just over 5,100 gross tons, her smaller size allows her to visit ports and waterways inaccessible to many larger cruise ships. Built in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she has been sailing the Great Lakes since 2014 and was extensively refurbished in 2023.
