The power cable going to Wisconsin Point has failed, possible under the bay. Unfortunately, I do not see a possibility to maintain the Wisconsin Point camera any time in the near future, so, in order to prevent any vandalism to the new camera, I am going to remove it and use it elsewhere, probably Two Harbors.
Sorry about this situation, but, who knows, it may be back in the future better than ever.

Darn it Dennis. I really miss the Wisconsin Point Camera! Thanks for following up on it.

Thank you for the update, you do a great job maintaining the cameras and some issues are unavoidable
ReplyDeleteplace it in the lift bridge shack
ReplyDeleteThanks for all you do. will miss it.
ReplyDeleteGood choice, it's been down for a few months now.
ReplyDeleteTwo harbors ? How about putting the camera on the lift bridge? Would be awesome to see the ships pass underneath within feet of the camera.
ReplyDeleteA camera up by split rock would be pretty cool, if its doable. Thank you for all the work you put into this.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that. I will miss it. But thanks for all you do. It's appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI’m sad to see this camera go. I have been through the Wisconsin Point entrance and watching other ships go through brings back memories. Thanks… hoping the new location is just as great.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dennis. That is too bad!
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to view Superior arrivals / departures in lieu of this camera? Thanks (and thanks for this site...)
ReplyDeleteHow about either Knife River or Bark Point? Or just some place along the point between Duluth and Superior ports of entry?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunate. Probably for the greater good to keep the cam for a backup.. Thx for all you do Den!
ReplyDeleteWP Cam will be back when power is restored at some point.
