Ice Crystals on a cold day! - Replay!

I recorded this a few years ago, but, thought it would be appropriate for a day like today!

So, this is what old photographers do in Minnesota when the temps drop. I took these videos from my back porch when the sun was setting at -5F.

These amazing ice crystals form rapidly inside the bubbles when blown onto icy snow in sub-zero temperatures.

I never cease to be amazed at the wonders of God's creation.

  1. One of the best experiments for the cold temps

  2. So nice to watch your amazing video again. This sure is pure beauty, Den! Thank you!

  3. Completely mesmerizing. Thanks, Den. You're making me look forward to cold temps!! Judy in La Crosse

  4. ...and I thought the ice crystals all over my (black) car one a.m. at 0 degrees was great, but this takes ice-crystal-beauty to a new level! Thanks for sharing/re-posting it.
