Arthur M Anderson Master Salute to the Edmund Fitzgerald 11/10/2020

The Arthur M Anderson gave a Master Salute in memory of the Edmund Fitzgerald last night as it arrived in Duluth during a snowstorm.
The Anderson was following the Edmund Fitzgerald 45 years ago during a blinding snowstorm and was the last boat to make contact with the Fitz before it sank with all 29 crew.  (may the rest in peace)

  3. Another wintry November 10th, and a sobering reminder....I'm old enough to remember hearing the tragic news. I've gone to the Split Rock lighting of the lighthouse a few times, most recently last year, when it was also pretty cold out, but not snowing (it was online this year). Thanks Arthur M Anderson and crew....rest in peace Edmund Fitzgerald and crew. Grammie Pat, Roberts, WI

  4. James Owen graduated high School 1975. Remembers well when it happened. I don't remember every year but most years. Such a tragedy!
