Strange seeing the Michipicoten going to Two Harbors with no one at CN #6 and the Clarke still at Hallet #5. They Could've loaded and been on their way back to the Soo by now
The Presque Isle has a great horn, as befits a 1000-footer....I believe either she, or the Edwin Gott, was the first 1000-footer I ever saw--years ago at the Two Harbors dock on a semi-foggy day. Grammie Pat, West St.Paul, MN
I was lucky enough to spend the day on the Edwin Gott a few years ago. My FAVORITE lake freighter of all time! Named my 10 year old tabby "Eddie Gott" because I love it so much! I recorded a ring tone of her horn -- does anybody want me to send to them? Such memories when somebody calls me (which is rarely ;-(

ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that too, seems a few boats have had their orders changed along their way. Grammie Pat, West St.Paul,MN

ReplyDeleteEven with Clarke going to Two Harbors now, things are weird
