The ship did salute as they came in the canal but the bridge did not hear them. It is really neat watching the guys on the cranes loading the ship. Great video.
Maybe the operator was in the rest room--those smaller Dutch ships have a higher-pitched horn that's harder to hear anyway. :) Sometimes there is quite a gap of time between when a boat/ship salutes and the bridge responds, but the operator is monitoring other communications too; we sometimes hear a couple of boats and the bridge discussing logistics (like when they're both on the move in the harbor)in some of the audio Dennis posts. Thanks for the redo on this video, Dennis, the Canal Cam view was kinda washed out by the clouds and sun angle behind, the Bridge Cam was much better. Grammie Pat, West St. Paul, MN
