According the the Duluth News Tribune, the Arthur M Anderson will be returning to service this week sometime. The Anderson was built the same year I was born -1952!
The Duluth News Tribune did a very nice article on the Anderson, you can read it HERE.
Nice to see a proud Lady back up and working! She will look beautiful with her new coat of paint!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!! Can't wait to see her go under the bridge and blow her horns.
ReplyDeleteDennis thank you so much for posting this. I mentioned the article under Jeffrey's page. I forgot to give the link to it. Thank you for doing so.
ReplyDeleteGreat article on a famous old boat. Love to see the old Lady back and I do hope I can see her leave Duluth. Many more safe trips, Arthur M Anderson!

Thanks for the link, great information..
ReplyDelete1952 was a good year!!! Sailed on her "sister" the Clarke from 1971 thru 1978. Good boats.
ReplyDeleteWill be great to see this historic ole lady back in action--she was only into her third year of service when I was born! Grammie Pat, West St. Paul, MN
ReplyDeleteGreat to see this proud ship back on the Great Lakes where she belongs. I wish her and her crew smooth sailing!
