Canal Cam Upgrade Fund Raiser Successful
We raised the $1500 for the Canal Cam Upgrade plus enough to pay the $700 streaming service for the two Silver Bay cams once they come online next month.
The new Canal Cam will be the Flagship of the Fleet!
This is unbelievable - thank you all so much, it took less than 8 hours to raise the funds.
You are so welcome Dennis. Glad to help!

ReplyDeleteI didn't even see the fundraiser posted, it happened so fast. You mentioned you might need to do it so I was prepared to help but so many kind and generous harbor watchers beat me to it. Thank you everyone who pitched in.
ReplyDeleteAwesome !! I'm glad to be a part of it.

I'm sorry I didn't see it in time to donate, can I still donate toward the new camera?
ReplyDeleteThanks for wanting to donate - I usually have a fundraiser a couple times a year when the need arises, a I really appreciate the help. Otherwise, the Marine Museum and Great Lake Aquarium can always use the support. http://www.duluthharborcam.com/p/donate.html
Deletecan't wait, thanks for doing this from Southwest MN.. :)
ReplyDeleteAs the canal cam is my go-to cam and you're presenting it as the flagship of the fleet I'm curious... with the new upgraded camera what kinds of benefits/toys should we be expecting and excited to see?
ReplyDeleteThe new Canal Cam will have a larger image sensor that will enable better colors, light response, and night vision.
Deleteooo I was curious about night vision :) I'm excited!
DeleteHello, I´m Henk from The Netherlands,
ReplyDeleteYears ago I visited this webcam for the first time and since then I look at Duluth through all your cameras. Sometimes, my children say, oh daddy, are you still looking at that harbor? It´s nice to read that I am not the only one. Thanks, thanks for the exciting views I´ve had! And once, I will visit Duluth to walk along the harbor. Thanks Dennis, thanks to all supporters who payed for the new cam!
