Dropping that stern anchor when he did prevented a major accident. Interesting how they used it as a pivot point as they dislodged the vessel. Good to see no one was hurt.
I was monitoring the whole event...I heard the woman on the P.A. say something about it had to reposition itself while watching some people on the canal looking into the bay under the raised bridge...then you posted that the ship ran into the breakwall—which it didn’t—after that, I had the GLA cam on until it was pulled free... If you don’t mind me asking-What does “GLA” mean? Just wondering...
I kept dozing off but I stayed up as long as I could to watch this. Thaks so much for posting this. Do you have the American Integrity coming in? It was really beautiful to watch with all the lights.
It stands for 'Great Lakes Aquarium'. That's the blue and red building on the lakeshore east of the lakefront concert park. They have exhibits of various species that are found in Lake Superior. Check it out!
I was recording it and saw a coast guard ship back up to the hatch on the back end of the ship, Wonder if the took someone off the ship or put someone on it?
We can always depend on you Dennis for a great video. Thank You.
