That is about the most ridiculous example of gov't getting in the way of a project that only serves to enhance the waterfront. Common sense again takes a back seat to the bureaucracy.
Seems like the Army Core of Engineers likes to create difficulty just because they can! They are the main cause of the hold up on the second 1000 ft. Lock at the Suite. Geez!
Sometimes seems like the government would rather watch things fall to ruin and place a historic marker rather then restore what’s possible and remake the rest to look original. Guess that costs more then a marker.
