10:00AM - Worst driving in a long time. I tried to get down to Canal Park, but, after sliding in my car sideways down 6th Ave W, I turned and went back home for awhile. Try again later.
08:00AM - major winter storm is rolling through the area with 50MPH winds, heavy snow above the hill and huge waves on Lake Superior. We can expect possible camera outages this morning. All boats have taken shelter and will resume movement later today.
Pretty impressive waves seen on the Canal Cam
ReplyDeleteIt was an enjoyable morning watching the waves from the warmth of my living room. Thanks for the hard work & effort that goes into keeping the cameras going.
ReplyDeleteI could watch this storm/snow/waves all day! Love from Rhode Island
ReplyDeleteNot getting much work done today. To busy watching the cameras. LOL
ReplyDeleteTake a look at the waves a-crashing on the Glensheen Cam, too!
ReplyDeleteCheck out the Glensheen cam, too, for the waves a-crashing at the boathouse!
ReplyDeleteBest to just stay home Denny with the fireplace burning and a glass of wine and enjoy they day. Be safe!

Cameras are down :(
ReplyDeleteMy nerves were getting frayed watching the video. I can’t imagine having to spend hours in that in a ship. So glad they stay in port now. Casna
ReplyDeleteI've been watching roughly two years now and never seen it that bad, The walkway looked like a raging river most of the night
ReplyDeleteI wonder who the lucky .....Or unlucky one was that got to go out and close the gate this morning:)
ReplyDeleteAnd I was going to complain because it's only 53 degrees here in MS today. I guess the wife and I will stick to visiting in July-August each summer.
