The purpose of the current camera fundraiser is to pay for the 2018 internet access and streaming service.
We currently have 9 cameras that cost 360/year to stream, plus internet service to the hillside location where there are currently five cameras accessing the web at a cost of $1080/yr.
So, having the internet services paid for 2018 (total $4320) will cover a significant part of our 2018 operating budget. Additional camera projects and upgrades may require another fundraiser when the time comes.
Thank you so much for your support in this effort, visitors to this site are very generous, and every cent donated goes into operation and maintenance of our cameras.
Happy Boat Watching!

Hi Den. Any progress to report on the Silver Bay Stream Camera?
ReplyDeleteHi Leo,
ReplyDeleteNo progress. Sorry, I haven't had much time lately.
Would love a cam in Superior entry with sound, That would be fantastic. Nice to see the people donating including myself that love the cams as much as I do
ReplyDeleteI agree --- that may become a project for 2018.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a camera perhaps at an ore dock so we can see the ore being poured in and boats up close? Love these cameras! Very hooked on them here in Rhode Island. :)
ReplyDeleteA camera on an ore dock would be cool, but, companies do not like the public looking over their shoulder while they work. Understandable since they don't know would would be observing their operation.
ReplyDeleteTrue that ;)
