I have decided to build a new duluthharborcam.com website to better organize posts, comments, and cameras.
This process will take a few weeks, but should be a better site in the end.
All I can say is, expect some glitches as we move forward, winter is a good time to do this.

Excited!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! That's what I do with ham radio stuff so I know you'll have fun over the idle weeks. I'm looking forward to the results.

Oi...
ReplyDeleteAs usual when sites get improved I will steel myself to the fact that I will never get it to work again.
ReplyDeleteDennis, and those of us at home will try not to let that happen, Casna.
DeleteThanks, Blaise, I wasn't implying the problem would be from your side.Note I said (I) !
DeleteSorry, I'm not affiliated with the site. Just saying it in the sense that we all try to help out.

ReplyDeleteWhy so many boats anchored off Duluth?
ReplyDeleteWow there are a lot. Tom check out Boat Schedules at the link above. Apparently there are some weather delays and some lineups for certain companies ( Peavey eg)
DeleteTom if you check out visitduluth.com you can see the ships lined up on one of the cam views. There are several views so you should watch them cycle through to get the right one. G'Night.
DeleteA little confused, but thanks casna
ReplyDeleteTom there's an article on boatnerd.com for Nov 20 News that mentions an upcoming storm with high waves on Lake Superior. Some boats are going to anchor.
ReplyDeleteSounds great, Dennis! I work on websites for my day job... hit me up if you need manpower or a second set of eyes on something.

Dennis please check out zooview.tv . I guess a system like this would be too expensive but it's pretty neat.
