Sunrise fishing on the Big Lake

With the boats still frozen in, fishermen are heading out on Lake Superior at daybreak to try try for the "Big One". This morning was -20F and there was no complaints about the cold, only an appreciation for the beauty.

Something I used to say in my younger days, before "ice palaces"...There are two kinds of sportsmen (and women) I don't understand - ice fishermen and duck hunters. I can think of a million ways to be miserable without doing it on purpose.

  3. There is nothing greater than ice fishing. However, I love to fish all year long. Right now the ice is in short supply as it is May 1st. I'd love to rent a fishing boat and take my boys out for a day out on the water. What would a small boat cost us?
