When I saw all the boats on the horizon -- I couldn't help myself and had to see it from the air.

  2. Biggest day I've ever seen, and I grew up there. Your site is great and the live cams are awesome! Except for all the rattle and cracking noises from the Visitor Center Cam. Maybe you could check that out when the weather is nicer... Mike Fanaselle.

  3. Mike, the rattling sure is a pain. It comes from nearby steel flagpole cables that slap the poles when it is windy. Not much I can do.

    1. When I come home in July I'll Superglue some cotton balls on them. Haha.

    2. OH, as a sailor, I love the wind sounds. It reminds me of the slapping of halyards, during these cold winter months.

  7. Great shots... Cannot wait to see the video! I believe April was a stressful month for the seaman on Lake Superior! Love the audio, especially the Captains salute and the sound of diesel motors coming through the aerial bridge! - Don from VA

  8. I was a Private Pilot in high school, then flew as a navigator in the MN Air National Guard for 20 years. Now, when I rent a plane, I rent a pilot too. Too hard to hang out the window taking pictures and fly at the same time.
