Nice pix of Alder at work. How thick is the ice this year?--Lee Downie, Henrico NC
Harbor ice 12-24 inches--thicker in the slips.
Such beautiful pictures, Dennis - and, as always, very much appreciated.!
You are so right, ONLY the Hand of Our Almighty God could create such a beautiful sunrise. That my friend is why your photos are the best because you know who the Creator is! Janet Herron, St. Paul, MN
does someone stay on the ships during layup?
Tim,The crew stays on board for a few days to button things up, then maintenance crews take over. The regular crews will be returning soon to start firing things up again.
First time visitor here, and I love your photos. It's very good to see you giving credit where it's due. :)
Very nice picture! I noticed the green light on the backside of the foghorn is on, how come?
It's always on, and the red one is on three seconds then off three seconds. It's the unique signal for this entry so the mariners would know they were in Duluth.
Dennis...This shot kinda sums up what Duluth is all about this time of the year!! Nicely Done and Thx!!
