Ships in Waiting!

With cool weather settling in, the thicking harbor ice is slowing the boat traffic down a bit.
The boat pack makes for some nice scenery though.

  1. Wonder what the record for ships waiting in the parking lot is, non strike related? H Lee White and Edgar Speer are waiting in Whitefish Bay in case they don't make over and back by the 15th. 2 day sail across the lake and back

  3. I'm wondering if the boat pack is causing more ships to bolt to Two Harbors. Less waiting. The Gott might have done that this morning.

    1. Loading times have been just as long in Two Harbors, Ships there for more than 24 hours to load. Edwin Gott was scheduled after the Algoma ships in line, But I believe the high winds played a role in them going first. G3 attempted to go before the Gott but turned back to wait

  4. Why are there all these ships sitting in the harbor in Duluth?

    1. -20 Below Temps are causing some mechanical issues with the docks, so It's taking longer than the normal 12 to 14 hours to laod. And the thickening ice and seasmoke is slowing travel
