With ice floating in the Duluth Shipping Canal, the Lake Superior Seiche, or sometimes referred to as tide, becomes apparent. This time-lapse was taken over a two hour period this afternoon. Sea Smoke Daybreak - 02/24/2023

With temperatures near -15F, Lake Superior is still warm enough to kick up some sea smoke in Two Harbors, even at the end of February.

Ice Caps - Lake Superior Wave Action - 02/22/2023

Lake Superior kicked up some wave at Canal Park in Duluth as 50MPH wind gusts pushed in ice to top the wave crests.
