  1. The ice is broken up and headed out of the harbor. The other day it was broken about the same but not moving??
    Is there a dam or something they can open??

  3. It seems like the canal is almost always open no matter how cold it is outside. Why doesn't the canal freeze even in the coldest weather?

  7. Great shots of the big boys coming and going. Wondering if you even considered installing cameras near the busy Duluth ports which would show huge conveyors loading and unloading cargo? If the cameras could swivel, you might even capture various ports & freighters at their docks all year long. Would be some interesting viewing. Thoughts?

  8. Denny, why do the ships coming into Two Harbors go so far towards Duluth before turning back to come into Two Harbors? I've seen the loaded ships go to the lighthouse and make a sharp left turn. Why can't the empty ships do that? Thanks!

    1. Just biding time waiting to load. Also, depending on the winds, they may be trying to have the hillside shield them when the wind is NW.
