Yesterday I did some aerial photography (from a real plane) around Duluth.

The H Lee White arrived in Two Harbors after leaving Duluth. Here is an aerial picture as she loaded taconite during the afternoon at the Two Harbors Ore Docks.

The Aerial Lift Bridge stands in contrast to the muddy water from the recent rains.

The Alamosborg finishes unloading wind turbine parts at the Duluth Port Terminal. The wind turbines are part of a large wind farm being built in North Dakota by Minnesta Power.

Split Rock Lighthouse continues to stand sentinel over the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Gooseberry Falls was running wild with over 10 inches of fresh rain.

The Highway 210 Bridge (approach) located on the St Louis River just north of Jay Cooke State Park was washed out.
(bridge just below the Thomson Dam)

The community of Fond-du-Lac, located on the far western end of Duluth and just below Jay Cooke State Park remains flooded. There is all time record high water coming through Jay Cooke.
