Didn't care much for the pretty music, but loved your commentary on what the shiip was doing and why it was in Duluth. Keep up the great work you're doing to keep all of us Land Lubbers informed when we can't get up close and personal in the twin ports. Luv ya Denis, Penny
Loved your commentary and the music. We're coming to Duluth January 8-10. I would love to see a ship come in full of ice -- not that I like the below zero weather!!! We come to Duluth a couple of times a year and stay at the South Pier Inn. Love your cameras -- watch them several times a day!!!
Hi Dennis,Neat idea! Good info on the ship and some "whale" music(AKA New Age) which I like actually! Thanks for ALL you do and Happy 2014!
music was a nice touch, your commentary is much better than what the announcer says over the outside speaker.I admire your dedication to keeping these cams operational. For all the shut-ins that might watch the cams daily, Thank You for all you do. cheryl
The extended music was a little much, the commentary was a nice added feature but then it should end shortly after your information so we are still able to hear the horns and even today the ice crashing against the bow. Awesome work though, thanks for cleaning the ice off the camera today as well :)
I too liked the commentary, don't need the music, but it doesn't hurt anything I guess. I really appreciate what you are doing. I live in Indiana, I only get to see the big boats in the summer when we always go to the Soo.
The ships info is very interesting. Was surprised to see the people out in the cold to welcome the ship to port. Have a safe and good 2014...Neil...Cedar, MN
Please NO music. I thought audio was so we could hear the wind, ship horns and bridge horn. The commentary is great, as long as it ends before the horns and is not competing with the announcements from the visitor center. Thank you.
Love the commentary but can do without the music, pretty as it was. A great idea to include ship info when you can. Thanks.
I agree with Penny's comments. Thank you for clearing the cameras as well. The Visitor's Center camera did look kind of like a Monet painting on Sunday with all the ice. It was pretty in a an artsy kind of way. Lori in VA
I watched Indiana Harbor live on your cam and could hear the rumble and horn of the ship and prefere that to the music. Love your website and keep up the good work.
Dennis, I watch this website quite a bit each day. Coming from central Iowa, I don't get the opportunity to see these big ships. I appreciate all you are doing with the pictures, cameras, commentary, etc. about the ships and the area around the harbor. By the way, how are the chickens?
Hi,I have moved the 10 chickens into my garage that I keep heated to 35F. I penned off a 12x8ft section and they think they are at a resort or something. Getting 10 eggs a day!
Like the commentary a lot but, like others, would prefer to hear the wind, lake, and horns. I love being able to see the ships since I am not living in MN anymore - thank you! (PS - saw you on the Split Rock documentary on PBS at Christmas. Good Job!)
Very nice...I like the narration. I'm here in warm and sunny California this driest and warmest December on record (70 degrees golfing yesterday). I grew up in Brainerd and have a brother in Duluth so check the webcams in Minnesota every now and then. Thanks for a nice lake and boat views...
I really liked it, Dennis. The narration is a great addition to these videos, and the music is fine. Keep up your good work, and stay warm.
Narration is excellent! Thank you so much for your time in doing this, I appreciate it.
Personally I like to hear the info on the vessel and the Captain's Salute
Thanks, The info. and all is great!!!!!
Hi Dennis... the audio is a great plus. I don't have to look up the information. Thanks for loosing the music. I also like to know the cargo and the destination. You have covered it all and it is appreciated. Thank you once again. It is almost like standing next to my Dad as we watched the boats going in and out of the harbor some 60 years ago. Thank you... john (North Prairie, WI)
Hi John,So glad you enjoy the videos. I will keep this in mind for next season and hopefully I can make it better then ever.
