The Last Boat in!
The arrival of the 1000 ft Edwin H Gott this morning was a fitting end to the 2011-2012 shipping season.
The zero degree temperatures were a good reminder that there is a bit of winter left.

Mesabi Miner Arrives for Winter Layup
The 1000 ft Mesabi Miner cruised under the Aerial Lift Bridge today on it's final trip of the season. It will be laying up at Midwest Energy until Spring.

Walter J. McCarthy Jr. Arrives for Winter Layup
The Walter J McCarthy Jr arrived through the Superior entry today for winter layup. The CGC Alder escorted the 1000 footer through the icy waters of St. Louis Bay.
