The Great Loon Cover-Up

The Great Loon Cover-Up - Two babies peek out from under the wings of an adult loon.
Loon chicks will spend much of their first two weeks of life tucked under the wings of the adults, or, riding the backs. The baby feathers keeps the little loons buoyant until they get strong enough to start learning to fish and dive during the summer months.
It has been 5 years since loons has babies on Caribou Lake, so, of course, I have taken lot's of pictures.

    1. Hi, sorry for all the loon pictures, but, I couldn't decide which were the cutest, so I uploaded all of them.
I was using a Canon 6D camera with a Tamron 150-600 zoom lens

    2. Well, thanks for the info, strangely I can't get pictures like yours using my Tamron, but then again I don't do it for a living like you. I use an old Canon, not digital. Still takes really great pics for it's age. I just hope that everybody that's on your site does take a few minutes to see ALL of the LOON pics, cause they are really really good. Penny in IL again
