Probably in need of some hull repairs after the ice ordeal. Story: http://maritime-executive.com/article/famous-arthur-m-anderson-finally-reaches-wisconsin
I asked this question earlier in the week and got this answer. It's in a short term lay-up due to a soft demand and also has a broken loop drive gear box causing extended unloading times. F.E. In Milwaukee

Ok one last thing, Has the Paul R Tregurtha get a new captain? I know it was Captain Dayton but then Detroits press new or something said Captain Bob Tibaudeau
Capt. Dayton retired in early Aug. 2014. I hope he's enjoying retirement even though I miss his distinctive master's salutes when passing through the ship canal. Lakewood
Laid up and having scheduled maintenance at Sturgeon Bay.She ran all winter and came in when everyone else was leaving lay-up.

Anderson may never sail again . Soft hull dating back to Fitzgerald. Cost to repower to diesel . Sad .

DeleteThe bridge cam seems to be going down quite a bit compared to the other cams. Can this be corrected? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYes, not sure what is going on with the bridge cam. -- I'll keep a closer eye on it.
ReplyDeleteSeveral days ago an incoming ship blew its horn 7 times. Does anyone know what the issue was?
ReplyDeleteThe seven short blasts were an emergency warning to some small craft in it's way as it passed through the canal.
ReplyDeleteI want to say 9 blasts,,,,,,,I could see the spot light flashing
ReplyDeleteAnyone know what happened to Amercian Fortitude or Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder
ReplyDeleteAnd any new ships for 2016?
