Moonrise over the freighter Lake Ontario

The 605 foot freighter Lake Ontario waiting at anchor off the Duluth Piers made a perfect backdrop for a Superior Moonrise tonight.

  2. Spectacular photos! A quick note - the ship pictured here is the 606', 2004-built Antigua & Barbuda-flagged "Lake Ontario", not "Zelada Desgagnes".

    I was using a Canon 5D Mk2 with a 100-400 lens extended to 400. I used 5.6 aperture, 3 sec exposure, and 1600 ISO.
