Northern Lights (Aurora Borialis)

In case anyone missed the Northern Lights display last night, here is what they looked like reflecting in a small lake north of Duluth.
The Northern Lights, (Aurora Borialis) are created when solar winds generated by sunspots, strike the earths upper layers of the atmosphere and excite the charged particles into a region of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye.
